certification management

Article 7 of the energy performance of buildings directive calls for energy performance certification and associated recommendation reports for all buildings on construction, sale and rent in addition to all public sector buildings >1000m2. digitalenergy is designed to enable simple and easy management of certification for single or multiple buildings, enabling positive change through legislation.

Approved by Communities and Local Government (CLG) for carbon calculation our certification module is a core part of the digitalenergy platform.

Quick and easy compliance

The design of digitalenergy enables the energy assessor to input the data into the software interface in a much quicker and easier method than other software tools by using simple wizards and forms coupled with advanced data capture techniques. This approach can halve the amount of time required to produce a energy performance certificate.

For display energy certification certificate generation is not only quick but with optional links to existing metering information the ongoing certification generation is automatic. This takes away the yearly worry of reissuing certification.

Behind certification digitalenergy provides a platform for ongoing energy performance management with the information tools to enable better grading's to be achieved on future certificates.

Approvals and recognition

digitalenergy was first approved by CLG for carbon calculation in November 2007. We are proud to attach our original approval letter from Ted King, head of the sustainable buildings division.

Since that time approval is renewed as changes are made to the core calculation methodology of the NCM. As a testament to the innovation of digitalenergy it was shortlisted for a low carbon innovation award by CIBSE.
