Background
On leaving school I undertook a five year apprentiship with Westinghouse Brake & Signal Company, a highly specialized Engineering company. Initially my training took me into the large supervisory control system market with Westinghouse System, primarily focused on solutions for utility companies both in the UK and overseas. This role took me to a number of interesting countries including Brunei and Malaysia.
More recently I have worked for Schneider Electric, pioneered the launch of the PowerLogic, power and energy monitoring solution to the UK industrial and commercial buildings sectors, almost 15 years ago. As operations and technical manager I helped guide this business to the market leading position it has today through the development of technology and the management and support of projects for large blue chip customers such as BMW and Honda.
Outside i-Prophets
I like being out in the fresh air and enjoy nothing more that trekking across the open countryside with my faithful black Labrador at my side. I enjoy a number of sports, but this seems to be mostly now confined to watching rather than taking part.
