Individual Mission

We have a young and enthusiastic management team at i-Prophets. As Managing Director a key part of my role is adding the voice of experience, preventing us from making the mistakes that many of our competitors will. The company has core values of honesty and integrity and we see people as being of prime importance. I see part of my role as ensuring we remember these core values in the way in which we deal with our staff, customers, suppliers and business partners.

Background

I left school at 16 with an A level in Maths and membership of Mensa!! I set on a career in systems development working for a number of large companies such as Proctor and Gamble, Pifco, British Oxygen and Great Universal Stores holding increasingly senior positions in the systems development hierarchy.

I established my own software business in 1980 developing packaged applications for which distribution channels were established in the UK, Northern Europe and the USA. In 2000 I listed the company on the London Stock Exchange and was short listed for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Outside i-Prophets

Being involved in a young, dynamic and ambitious company leaves limited personal time but I like nothing better than watching my beloved Manchester United, walking the hills of the Lake District or traveling to interesting, sunny destinations with my partner Ruth. I have 2 grown up children and 5 grandchildren and consider myself very much a family man.
