How does it all work?
Once your application is made the Carbon Trust will contact us with your details. One of our consultants will contact you in less two weeks of the confirmation of your eligibility for an on-site carbon survey, to agree a mutually convenient date for the survey and to discuss the information that they require prior to undertaking the work.
The survey will usually take between 2 to 10 days to complete (this includes the site visit and action plan production), depending on the size and complexity of your site. Our consultant will initially hold discussions with key members of staff and then undertake a survey of operations to identify energy saving opportunities. During the survey they will require access to all areas of the site and will need to be accompanied if your site requires this.
What is the output?
Our consultant will report back their initial findings to relevant staff at the end of the survey and a few weeks later you will receive a draft Action Plan. This is an opportunity for you to provide feedback before the consultant submits a final Action Plan.
The Action Plan will usually include: An analysis of your organizations energy use, where appropriate compared to similar organizations/sector benchmarks, A review of the strengths and weaknesses of your current energy management procedures, A list of energy saving opportunities that should be implemented including details of the rationale as to why the recommendation should be implemented and any issues that may be encountered, estimated savings, budget costs, and payback periods for implementing the opportunity and much more.
